Well, it felt like hours. It could have been days, months, years. Who knew? All she knew was that she was in some grassy field and her mind was very fuzzy. She didn't like it. She sat up, stretched, and mewled. Oh. Now that wasn't right at all. After standing and shaking out her fur, she made over to a near by puddle of water, and looked down at her reflection. Aha! That was the problem. Somehow, two bandages, in the cross of an X, had appeared on her forehead. She attempted to claw at it, but to no avail, it just wasn't coming off. She spend several minutes after this trying every which way to get the bandages off, and soon enough, she had rolled around in the dirt so many times, she was now covered and very much in need of a bath. And a meal. Oh... that sounded so good right now..
There was a sudden noise a little ways off, and a rustling of bushes. LUNA turned, eyes wide and back arched, poised to attack whatever was coming; but what came, she didn't expect. Two elementary ages boys entered the clearing, one of them looking towards where she had just been laying with a contemplative look. LUNA blinked at the two boys, just why were they looking for her? What could they want with her?
“Hey, where'd the kitty go?”
The two boys looked around, finally sighting her over at the puddle.
“There it is!”
Both boys lunged after her and LUNA took off running. She was NOT going to be tortured by these children! Not today! She picked up her speed, still feeling dulled out by the bandages covering her forehead. This probably wasn't going to bode well in the end, she feared.

Being late was a never ending thing for the young girl. She always failed to get up on time, living in the sweet dreams that engulfed her innocent mind, much to her mother's distaste. Despite her usual lazy nature, she bolted in the direction of the school, hoping desperately to make it to school on time, although she knew her attempt was in vain.
School was the last thing this young girl worried about. There were so many more important things. There was shopping, eating, going to the arcade, eating, sleeping and then more eating. It was hard being a teenager these days. There was just so much to do, and there was very little time. The image of her angry teacher was soon etched into her mind, causing her legs to move a little bit faster, no matter how impossible it seemed.
Her long legs carried her past a lot, which she just barely caught sight of what was going on. Despite being late to school, she quickly turned around, going back to the scene of the crime. That's when she saw the culprits and the victim. A look of anger struck her once happy face as she stomped over to the younger boys. Hey you little brats, leave that poor kitty alone! She fumed, causing the little boys to run away, laughing all the way. The young girl crouched down before the black cat, stretching her hand out to pet the poor thing.
She wondered what on Earth those boys could have wanted with this cat. The poor thing seemed scared to death, so she highly doubted it was the cat's fault at all. Boys these days were stupid and irresponsible creatures, though there were quite a few that peeked this young blonde's interest. That didn't mean she couldn't find them amazingly stupid and annoying at some times.
Giant blue eyes caught sight of two bandages in an X-like shape on the cat's forehead. Her hands gently went to the bandages, gently plucking it off the black cat's forehead. Her eyes grew wide at the sight of a golden crescent moon mark on the cat's forehead. Huh? Well, that's odd, but you're still a pretty kitty. The young girl cooed, her small hand stroking the stray cat's sleek fur.

“Hey you little brats, leave that poor kitty alone!”
Finally! Someone to save her!
The boys ran, and LUNA, who was curled up near a bush, relaxed. She stood, and was stretching out again when her savior, a young girl with long blond hair and blue eyes, stretched out a hand to pat her head. This cause LUNA to look up at the girl, curiously, and a strange feeling coursed through LUNA. She mewled softly, and she assumed this turned the girls full attention on her now, as she had sighted the bandages on her forehead. The girl gently plucked them off, exposing the Crescent Moon.
Which, to LUNA brought on a very fast and heavy rush of a lot more senses than she had been using in the time the bandages were put on there. LUNA wavered slightly, and then suddenly pounced onto the girls head, and then back flipped onto the fence just behind her, allowing her to stare down at the girl with an intense gaze.
Could she BE the one? LUNA thought to herself.
Several more things came rushing back to her. Including how she ended up in the predicament she was in; what she was doing, and who.... well, not who exactly she was looking for; but the feeling she was searching for. And right now, she was having that exact feeling. Still gazing at the girl, as the seconds passed by, she confirmed her suspicion, that this was the girl she was looking for. But... could it really be? This girl seemed to be as air headed as they came! LUNA mentally sighed. The world was in danger, and this is what she was searching for? Really now? Really?
Well, never the less. LUNA, against better judgment possible, opened her mouth to greet the girl, or thank her, or something. But then a clock tolled in the near by distance...

[STYLE=background-color:#D7D7D7; color: #959595; text-align: justify; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; margin-top: -15px; margin-bottom: 10px; padding: 3px; font-size:10px;] The cat meowed sweetly at her, causing the blonde girl to smile immensely. She loved cats. Really any cute and fuzzy animal really. She loved to pet their soft fur and listen to all the cute noises they made. If only her mom would let her keep a pet. They already had an animal in the house. Her mind went to her immature and childish little brother, who in reality was slightly more mature than her.
Thoughts were disrupted as the cat hopped upon her head and back-flipped onto the nearest fence. The cat's piercing eyes stared into her, making the young girl feel uncomfortable as she stared in awe. That was until she heard the bell sounding for class right down the street. She had completely forgotten about school. Her blue eyes looked back up at the black cat who seemed to be staring into her soul. Serena had to admit that this cat was a unique one.
I'm sorry kitty, I have to go now. Stay out of trouble! She didn't know why on earth she was talking to an animal, but there was just something about that cat. It seemed like she could actually understand what she was saying. She shook the crazy thought from her head, waving at the cat as she backed up, her hand grabbing her schoolbag. With that she was off to school, running as fast as her tired legs could carry her.
The black cat with the crescent moon was soon pushed from her mind as she began to think of the trouble she was going to get into again. The courtyard before the school was empty, for she was the only one late on this wonderful day. She hustled and bustled through the school before finally reaching her classroom. The young girl stood outside the door, peeking into the room where all her classmates sat, her teacher checking attendance. She was afraid to step inside, but did it with a look of bravery on her face, until her teacher started scolding her once more.
